Bold Point, East Providence: (CRMC designations confusing, but State owned.) Take 195 East from Providence and take the Riverside Rt 44. Exit just over the Washington Bridge. Bear Right off the exit and take your very first right turn on Mauran Ave. There is a little "Fishing Access" sign at the corner. (This comes up quickly so watch for it.) Take this road to Waterfront Drive and turn left. If you are coming from the east on Rt 195 or down from Rt 44, it is best to exit at the Broadway exit, go south to the stoplight at Warren Ave (Rt 103)and turn right and continue on Warren to the end where you turn left on Waterfront Ave. The launch is a boat ramp on the right a short ways down - just across a large dirt parking lot. Parking is available for about two dozen cars and trailers, but overflow in available in the dirt lot. The lot is generally crowded with trailers so kayakers usually park at the far end of the parking lot away from the trailers. There are sanitary facilities at the entrance during summer.
