Mount Hope Fishing Access, Bristol: (State Fishing Access Site, public access) Directions from Rt 136 north or south, At Annawamscutt Drive, (stoplight at junction), proceed to the end of the road. Turn on to the dirt access road just before the east end of Annawamscutt Drive (which is also a CRMC designated public ROW.) This potholed road leads about 300 ft to the parking lot. The shore access has a single-width, concrete-slab boat ramp with a small breakwater fronting Mount Hope Bay. Adjacent to the boat ramp is a cobble beach and a fringing marsh also suitable for launching kayaks. There is parking for about 10 vehicles with trailers or about 20 vehicles without trailers, with possible additional parking along the entrance road. There are no public facilities, but bushes provide some limited privacy.
