Fountain Street at Morgan Street Extension, Portsmouth: (CRMC designation as public access) This site is in an area referred to as Island Park. Directions from Rt 114 north or south, and from Rt 138 north , exit on to Boyds Lane south, proceed to the end. Take left on Park Ave. (From south Rt 138, just take a right at Park Ave.) The launch is located at the end of Morgan St. which is one way out at this section of road. Therefore, car access to the launch is by Thorpe Ave. farther east on Park Ave., which loops back on Fountain St to the launch site. This site is a paved ramp leading to a cobble beach bordering the Sakonnet River. There is no parking in the right-of-way, but limited on-street parking is available on the Park Ave. There are no sanitary facilities in this highly residential area.
